Play

Play provides a way for children to explore and orientate themselves to the world.  Through play children experiment and explore, practicing consequences, developing resilience and learning cooperation and negotiation skills.   During play children learn a variety of skills that are vital for their development including;

  • the ability to think flexibly and logically,

  • self-regulation, emotional control and self esteem

  • Social skills, including sharing and taking turns

  • Language development
